Elemental sulfur (S): 99% (equiv. 247.5% SO3)
Why use sulfur for plants?
Sulfur is a fundamental element for plants:
- Protein synthesis: constituent of Sulfur Amino Acids (methionine, cysteine, cystine)
- Constitution of chlorophylls essential for photosynthesis
- Constitution of enzymes and vitamins (biotin, thiamine, glutathione)
- Activation of enzymes of fatty acid energy metabolic processes
- Formation of legume nodules
Better nitrogen use and increased yield
Effect on thousand grain weight (TGW) and number of grains in an ear
Effect on ear length and diameter (Szulc et al, 2008)
Action on the ground
- Slow acidification of the soil
- Constituent of soil humic acids and CAH
- Increased soil total S, N and K levels (Skwierawska et al, 2008)
Progressive release of sulfate (SO4), the form absorbable by plants
SOUFREL is non-leachable in soils unlike fertilizers in the form of sulfates.
Oxidation of elemental S into sulfates by soil microorganisms.
Instructions for use
Use between 5 and 60 kg/ha when sowing depending on the crop (localized or not).
To be mixed in the seeder hopper, in the micro granulator or in the fertilizer distributor.
Precautions for use
Avoid contact with skin and eyes, wearing goggles and gloves is recommended. Do not swallow. Wash hands after use.
Storage
Store in original packaging protected from light and moisture.
Keep away from sources of ignition.
Dispose of container in accordance with sorting instructions.
